A young man is haunted by the weight of his past as he reflects on his relationship with his mother. Through a delicate blend of movement and spoken word, he relives pivotal moments from his life, grappling with the overwhelming guilt that his existence may have held her back from a brighter future. Maybe It Was Me explores the complexity of love, sacrifice, and the deep, often unspoken emotions between parent and child.

words from the filmmaker

I made this film because the story is deeply personal to me—it's a love letter to parents everywhere, both mothers and fathers, who sacrifice so much for their children. I wanted to explore the emotional complexity of that relationship and, in doing so, create something beautiful with my friends that resonates with anyone who has experienced the weight of love, guilt, and gratitude.

why we love this film

A film of gratitude for parents everywhere... we love you mom and dad!
